1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
True love will not ask you to compromise your beliefs for a little pleasure on the side. True love will respect you at all times. True love will not want to touch you in appropriate ways. True love will honor you all the days of your life. True love will not lie or deceive you. True love will touch your soul. True love will lift you up and not pull you down. True love will encourage you to keep going on when you have given your all and are ready to give up. True love will protect you from all hurt, harm and danger. True love will never let you down. True love will always tell what is right even when it hurts.
Does the one you love offer you true love or is it a cheap imitation? You deserve so much more! Don’t settle for cheap love. Don’t settle for the world’s view of love. You have to be the example of love to your child/children. Think about it and ask your self, “would I want my child to experience the love I am living with today?” If your answer is no, then only you can change it. Love is not shown on one day out of year but it shows up on every day. It shows up just because it’s Monday with no strings attached.
You receive what you accept. If you don’t like what is given, then reject it and demand better or move on. Life is too short not to be loved!
